Cozy Coastal Cushions and Throws
To achieve a harmony between coastal aesthetics and winter warmth, I’m incorporating a mix of creams and pure whites. The best part is, I already possessed most of these cushion covers!
You can observe the difference it made by taking a glance back at our Modern Christmas Living Room. I replaced the velvet and metallic covers with whites and stripes to establish a coastal vibe, yet retained the faux fur pillow for added warmth. The dark gray and blue covers provide some contrast, preventing it from appearing too plain.

I can’t seem to resist this ladder shelf! I typically rearrange it every couple of months, and it’s one of my favorite spots in our home for styling practice. After removing our Christmas shelf decor, I added a few fresh elements (the framed artwork and black candlesticks) and sourced the rest from around the house. I aimed to keep it extremely simple with books, greenery, and white vases.
