Valentine’s Day is approaching, and I don’t possess many Valentine’s Day adornments to display. It’s not that I am a grinch concerning the celebration; I simply appreciate how the home appears once we store away the Christmas decorations and I have cleared out a lot of items. We are embracing the “less is more” philosophy at present, and I find it delightful. Naturally, I can’t leave things alone, and the children begin requesting a few Valentine decorations, which sparks my enthusiasm to craft something for the occasion.
One area where I always commence decorating is our entrance door. I enjoy having something cheerful on our front door throughout the seasons; however, you all know I’m not particularly fond of the classic “wreath”. I created DIY Farmhouse Christmas Decor From A Dropcloth and wanted to craft a larger version of the heart ornaments into a Valentine wreath for the entrance.
To create this Valentine Wreath, I adhered to the same procedures outlined in this post.

Materials Required To Create These Valentine’s Day Decorations:
Canvas Fabric
Crimson Paint
Painter’s Tape
Poly-Fil
Floral Wire
Paint Brush
Scissors
Hot Glue
Burlap Ribbon
Here’s a visual summary of the procedure:
Cut the canvas into the desired heart shape size for your entrance door. Trace the first heart onto another canvas and mark it. You will require two hearts of the same dimensions for this Valentine Wreath. Utilize painter’s tape to mask off grain sack stripes on the front heart. Paint the stripes using crimson paint. Hot glue around the edges of the hearts to adhere them together, leaving a 2″ opening so you can fill the heart.
Fill the Valentine wreath with the Poly-Fil. Once it reaches your preferred level of “fluffiness,” hot glue the opening shut.
Cut a length of floral wire for suspending the Valentine wreath. Insert the wire through one side of the top of the heart and the other end through the opposite side. This will allow you to hang the wreath on your door. After I suspended the Valentine wreath on our door, I crafted a burlap ribbon bow to affix to the top.
It truly is a straightforward endeavor and it offers Valentine’s Day decorations with a farmhouse aesthetic. It serves as a charming accent on our front door to greet the holiday.
