Craft the most adorable creature beneath the waves with our complimentary printable jellyfish creation!
This straightforward cut-and-paste project is ideal for summer or marine-themed activities and only necessitates the simplest materials to assemble. It’s quick to arrange, and the overall appearance is fantastic.
Craft A Jellyfish
Create the most charming jellyfish imaginable with this simple children’s project that’s fast to prepare, budget-friendly, and low on mess!
Throughout the years, I’ve showcased several jellyfish crafts such as our paper plate jellyfish and our jellyfish template, but I must confess that I really love this new printable, which is excellent for enhancing your child’s scissor skills.

Materials Required
- Printable jellyfish PDF
- White paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Adhesive – school glue (PVA glue) or a glue stick
- Colored pencils, markers, or crayons
Assemble and Paste Jellyfish
Before commencing your jellyfish project, you’ll need to print the PDF document. You can use standard white printer paper for this, or if you desire more durability (which can certainly assist with the tentacles), opt for cardstock instead.

Grab your colored pencils, markers, or crayons, and start coloring. There are numerous jellyfish colors in nature, including blue, purple, yellow, pink, and even transparent jellyfish, providing a wonderful opportunity to utilize your favorite vibrant hues.

Next, take your scissors and carefully cut out each component of the craft; you’ll notice dotted lines around each piece to assist you.

To assemble your jellyfish, attach the tentacles to the primary body of your jellyfish. I believe it appears best if you adhere them to the backside, but that’s entirely your choice.

To complete your jellyfish, affix its eyes and the spots.
If you’d like to modify this project, you could utilize strands of string, ribbon, or strips of colored paper instead of the tentacles we’ve used.

Additional Cut and Paste Marine Creatures
I’ve shared numerous cut-and-paste projects for children, and you can discover plenty with an ocean theme. Here are a few of my beloved options that I think would be excellent for summertime, underwater topics, environmental education, or simply because your child enjoys marine life.
Our create-a-turtle craft is consistently favored and this free printable template would make a wonderful addition if you’re considering making a display at home or on a bulletin board in your classroom.

Our craft a shark resource is one of the latest additions and would be perfect for shark week activities too.

Lastly, I’m fond of this cut-and-paste coral reef project featuring fish, a seahorse, and of course, lots of coral and seaweed.
