Roll a Cub Christmas Tree Decorating Printable Game for Preschool Rules
The guidelines for the game are straightforward.
- Take turns
- Roll the cube
- Advance to the next space that bears that symbol
- The victor is the one who reaches the end first!
While playing, it’s an excellent opportunity to include some math; how many spaces have they moved?

So that you can play with older toddlers and younger preschoolers who haven’t yet learned to count and recognize the arrangement of dots on the die, we’ve created our own die to use.

If you prefer, you could certainly swap out for a standard die and maneuver spaces with it.

Printing Your Game for Christmas Enjoyment
We suggest that when printing the game, you ensure that you adjust the fit to your paper size.

This ensures that whether you are in the UK or the USA, you will be able to create the dice and play the game effortlessly.
If you don’t make adjustments, you may risk losing portions of the game during the printing process.
In the Rainy Day Mum household, we utilize an Epson EcoTank (read our review here) for printing to conserve ink and benefit the environment, and we recommend printing the games on high-quality cardstock instead of standard paper!
Once printed, it can be beneficial to
Laminate your game board and components; this will enhance their durability and prolong their lifespan, particularly with younger children.

How to Construct your Game Dice for the Printable Christmas Board Game
With your game board and pieces prepared, it’s time to create your dice.

It’s a straightforward net, and the directions are clear. You’ll want to fold the edges at the flaps to ensure they adhere easily.

In my experience, I’ve found it quicker and more efficient to utilize double-sided sticky tape rather than glue for these.

Simply cut small sections of the tape roll and attach them to the flaps, peel off the backing, then shape them into the dice configuration.

The Christmas dice for the game is ideally sized for little hands to grasp and toss effortlessly, and since it’s made from cardstock, it won’t cause damage!
