Greetings, companions! Today, I’m thrilled to present my initial room transformation of 2026—my son’s Star Wars-themed bedroom! We are ardent enthusiasts of the universe far, far away in this household. It was incredibly enjoyable to blend the books and toys we had with some understated Star Wars embellishments to unite this area! I also painted color-blocked accent walls, accomplished a significant amount of organizing, and replaced the bed. If you’re considering a children’s Star Wars bedroom for your little one or future Jedi, I hope this article inspires you. I eagerly anticipate leading you through this Star Wars space!

Children’s Bedroom Before

Here are several images of Bug’s space from December. My primary objectives were to:
- Paint the walls. You likely can’t discern in the pictures, but the flat gray paint from the builder was heavily scuffed and beyond repair.
- Upgrade the bed. I was prepared to enhance the current metal bed frame and damaged headboard.
- Sort the Lego collections. We already had the storage system, but I wanted to ensure everything was categorized and labeled.
- Other minor enhancements. Change the curtains, decorate above the dresser, and introduce new bedding.
Children’s Star Wars Bedroom Concepts and Room Unveiling
And here’s the transformation! Allow me to take you on a tour…
1. Snooze Under the Stars

The inspiration for this galactic-themed corner came from the handmade “sleep under the stars” felt banner! I adore supporting Etsy sellers, and this item is simply the most adorable.
Bug’s prior headboard was damaged, so I replaced it with this charcoal upholstered bed. (I have collaborated with Brookside before, but purchased this bed on my own.) It is economical, and I appreciate that the mattress is positioned low without a box spring, which is ideal for children.
To complete this nook, I included a star-patterned quilt and styled the acrylic book ledges (similar) with some of our favorites. The wall sconce dims for nighttime and provides an organic ambiance.
2. Star Wars Artwork and Organized Legos

I shared my Lego storage concepts post last week, but I had to include this wall in the Star Wars room unveiling as it might be my favorite!
The minimalist Star Wars art is from Etsy, and the seller offers additional characters as well. I chose to showcase Luke, Rey, and naturally, Grogu.
Lastly, this is the wall that I color-blocked—the paint shades are Cameo White and Greige from the Behr Marquee collection. I might eventually share a post detailing the color-blocking process, so do let me know if you find that beneficial.
3. Star Wars Art Gallery Wall and Shelf

Feel free to adjust any specific sections further if needed!

Staying in line with the understated Star Wars motif, I assembled a straightforward gallery wall featuring three additional prints from Etsy vendors: Endor Forest, Cloud City, ATAT. Each print is entertaining and distinctive without overly emphasizing Star Wars.
This circular rattan wall shelf introduces an organic touch to this section of the room. It evokes the Death Star and serves as an ideal location for Star Wars memorabilia and plush companions!
4. Children’s Desk and Color-Blocked Arch

Lastly, here is Bug’s Lego construction desk! I took away the book ledges and fashioned an arched color-block wall. We have cherished this “I am a Jedi like my father before me” art print since Bug’s nursery, but this one is similar.
This IKEA FLISAT children’s desk has been with us for over a year and it is fantastic! The desk and its matching bench are both adjustable to accommodate your child’s growth, and the sides of the desk stop Lego bricks from tumbling off. A significant advantage when you get tired of stepping on them 😉
I completed this wall with my preferred curtains to bring in a touch of warmth, and this Star Wars room transformation is finished!

Here are broader views of each side of the space:

I hope you liked the unveiling of Bug’s Star Wars bedroom! This area is significantly more practical now that everything is organized. It serves as our enjoyable escape to a galaxy far, far away as we assemble Lego sets, read stories, and snuggle at bedtime. I would adore hearing which aspect of the room resonates most with you or how you have adorned your children’s spaces!
