And just like that, it’s the concluding weekend of October. The foliage is at its most vibrant hues, the skies are gloomy (and a tad eerie), and I’m enjoying a mug of tea. Thus, it felt like an ideal day for a casual exploration of our snug aesthetic living space.
I maintained the autumn decor quite understated this year, concentrating on a fall color scheme and timeless decorations that we can appreciate all year. Grab your preferred warm beverage in a mug, and step inside!

Snug Aesthetic Living Room Makeover
1. Three-Arm Chandelier
It’s been some time since I last provided an update on our living room. Last year I made numerous changes in this area, including adding decorative picture frame molding to the walls and refreshing the furnishings. However, I still hadn’t gotten around to installing a chandelier.
That’s no longer the case! I have finally acquired the three-arm Mouille chandelier that I had been coveting for years. I adore the contemporary light fixture combined with the vintage-inspired aspects of the space, like the area rug, traditional patterns, and fabrics.
The chandelier emanates such a comforting and warm radiance in the evenings. The shades are adjustable, so I’ve opted to direct them upward towards the ceiling for gentle, ambient illumination.
2. Rattan Media Console
In addition, I modified our media console. For years we utilized an IKEA TV stand, which was an excellent piece, but I wished to explore a different option.
I passed the IKEA console to my in-laws and constructed an extra-long media console using three rattan cabinets. Along with the practical storage, I cherish the cozy aesthetic of the new furnishings! It completely transformed the ambiance of our living room.
3. Rustic Oval Coffee Table
Often, one change leads to another. I adored our round coffee table, but it did not complement the rattan cabinets. Consequently, I sold it to a friend and began searching for something new.
I ultimately purchased this brushed wood coffee table. This is my first occasion using an oval-shaped coffee table in our environment, and I must say that I genuinely enjoy it! It is more practical for us as everyone can access the table to place drinks down, and it visually balances the width of the TV console.
I styled the coffee
table straightforward with my preferred design volumes, an oversized bead garland, and a brass container for coasters.
4. Snug Velvet Accent Chairs
After experimenting with the entirely white furniture style, I started to desire a bit more differentiation. Additionally, I aimed to introduce another warm texture into this area.
Introducing: brown velvet armchairs. Sadly, they are currently unavailable, but I will be compiling a list of velvet accent chairs shortly! These chairs are comparable.
5. Stylish Living Room Rug
Ultimately, Loloi generously sent me the Amber Lewis Georgie rug in Moss / Bark for our living area. The color scheme of brown, beige, and blue-green, along with the vintage flair, complements our room beautifully.
I shifted the sofa for this shot so you can have a clearer view. This type of rug design is my favorite, showcasing a lattice print instead of a central medallion. So beautiful and adaptable!
