This Thanksgiving project is incredibly enjoyable! Turkey pops are simple to create, and your children will adore them while also being able to assist you in assembling them. I appreciate that they can be prepared well in advance, so you won’t be rushing to get something ready on Thanksgiving morning. This Thanksgiving project would be perfect to distribute to teachers and classmates during the holiday or simply for decoration on the children’s table at Thanksgiving dinner. Regardless of how you utilize them, they are guaranteed to bring extra joy on Thanksgiving day.

Materials Required to Create This Thanksgiving Project – Turkey Pops:
burlap
googly eyes
foam autumn leaves
Tootsie Pops
ribbon
orange foam or orange construction paper (for beak)
red foam or red construction paper (to create the “gobble”)
hot glue gun

Steps to Create This Thanksgiving Project – Turkey Pops:
To begin, I cut two, 5″ squares from the burlap for each Turkey Pop. I wrapped the top of each Tootsie Pop with the two burlap squares and secured it with ribbon around the base of the Tootsie Pop.

Next, I hot glued the googly eyes, beak, and ‘gobble’ onto the burlap surrounding the “head” of the turkey.

I utilized three foam leaves for the turkey’s feathers. If foam leaves are unavailable, cut out leaves from scrapbook paper or construction paper.
Initially, I hot glued the leaves together.

Subsequently, I hot glued them to the back of the Turkey Pop.

Don’t they look adorable?!

I believe it’s delightful to make each holiday memorable for the children. Before we realize it, they will grow up and at the adult table with us. For now, a little Turkey Pop will be set for each of them at their table, and I know they will cherish them for years to come. We will also be distributing these to our classmates and teachers to spread a bit of Thanksgiving joy to them before the break.
Who would you create these for? Do you carry out special activities at the kids’ table during Thanksgiving? I would love to know what you do to make it unique.
