Thanksgiving Craft: Turkey Pops

This Thanksgiving project is incredibly enjoyable! Turkey pops are simple to create, and your children will adore them while also being able to assist you in assembling them. I appreciate that they can be prepared well in advance, so you won’t be rushing to get something ready on Thanksgiving morning. This Thanksgiving project would be perfect to distribute to teachers and classmates during the holiday or simply for decoration on the children’s table at Thanksgiving dinner. Regardless of how you utilize them, they are guaranteed to bring extra joy on Thanksgiving day.

Materials Required to Create This Thanksgiving Project – Turkey Pops:

burlap

googly eyes

foam autumn leaves

Tootsie Pops

ribbon

orange foam or orange construction paper (for beak)

red foam or red construction paper (to create the “gobble”)

hot glue gun

Steps to Create This Thanksgiving Project – Turkey Pops:

To begin, I cut two, 5″ squares from the burlap for each Turkey Pop. I wrapped the top of each Tootsie Pop with the two burlap squares and secured it with ribbon around the base of the Tootsie Pop.

Next, I hot glued the googly eyes, beak, and ‘gobble’ onto the burlap surrounding the “head” of the turkey.

I utilized three foam leaves for the turkey’s feathers. If foam leaves are unavailable, cut out leaves from scrapbook paper or construction paper.

Initially, I hot glued the leaves together.
