Outmoded, devoid of its original characteristics, and sparse in storage, it seemed more like a blank canvas than an integrated section of the home. The ambition? To transform it into a functional and breathtaking space, while respecting the abode’s 19th-century lineage.

A Design Grounded in History

The team embraced the home’s legacy, taking cues from its stone exterior and verdant surroundings. The outcome was a timeless color scheme, showcasing Benjamin Moore’s Silver Satin (walls), Balboa Mist (trim), and Smokey Ash (cabinets), a cool brown with the faintest suggestion of a hazy gray undertone. This subtle yet natural palette connects the kitchen to its environment without appearing outdated.

Talking about charm—each element reflects history. Observe the scalloped pendant lights suspended over the island, designed by British brand deVOL. They harmonize vintage aesthetics with modern refinement, a recurring motif in this reimagined area.
